Privacy Policy
Spammers are evil
There is a special place reserved in hell for spammers and those who assist them. In contrast, SAGA is a non-profit organization designed to promote the community. As Willow on Buffy the Vampire Slayer used to say, "We are of the good."
If you provide us with any personal information—such as when you sign up for our mailing list or register for one of SAGA's events—we will not share that specific information with anyone outside of SAGA. However, SAGA may use aggregated information about our users such as demographics and gaming habits to make the SAGA website and SAGA events better for you. And by "better for you," we do not mean "Perhaps these ads would work better! CA-CHING!" It's more like "Gee, it really looks like cooperative play boardgames are very popular this month; maybe we should host a series of co-op games at our next event."
We hate spam
When you sign up for the announcement list, your e-mail address goes to a database. When you unsubscribe from the list, your e-mail address is removed. If our mail is returned undeliverable, your e-mail address is removed. This is most likely because your current information is no longer valid.
When you register for SAGA events, we'll be collecting a bit more information about you to allow you to register as a unique user. Requested information that is optional may be given at your discretion. We will not share this information with anyone outside of SAGA.
Security of Information
We store all user information securely, protected via a variety of access controls. We do not share personally identifiable data with other companies, except as necessary to fulfill a transaction you have requested, or unless you otherwise give us permission to do so. When required to do so by court order or subpoena, SAGA may be required to share such secured information in response to the proper legal process.
